About our branch

Hillingdon Samaritans has been in Uxbridge for 50 years helping people in the Borough and surrounding area. We celebrated our Golden Jublilee in 2023.

Our 80 listening volunteers have over 16,000 contacts per year with people in distress or needing emotional support. Samaritans is available 24 hours every day to respond to everyone who contacts us by phone. We also help deliver the online chat service that is being piloted and which is expanding the times when it is available.

We’re there for you to talk to about how you feel. We freely give you our time and attention. We listen and help talk through worries and troubles. We’re not afraid to explore difficult areas.

We can continue only because people believe in us and become part of Samaritans by volunteering or helping to raise the funding we need.

Hillingdon Samaritans is one of over 200 branches of Samaritans throughout the British Isles. We are an  independent charity dependant entirely upon donations and discretionary grants. Samaritans of Hillingdon is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered charity no. 1174063.
