Outreach News

News of Hillingdon Samaritans work out and about.

Working with car park officers

Bal, Brian and Roy met with Roy Clark and other officers on 10 January to discuss improvements to the Samaritan publicity in the Grainge and Cedars Car Parks at the Mall Pavilions.

It was a very productive meeting and posters have already been forwarded to them.

We also offered training on listening for those interested in developing their skills. This was warmly received and we hope to arrange a date in the future that is suitable for those involved.

Street Angels

Members of the Outreach Team continue to work with the training of new volunteers for the Street Angels in Uxbridge. We offer training on developing listening skills.

It is good to see groups working together to support the local community.

Harefield Academy

The Outreach team has been invited to work with the Academy introducing our Step by Step scheme and also our DEAL programme ( Developing Emotional Awareness and Learning).

Harmondsworth Detention and Removal Centre

The small team working with the Harmondsworth Centre has been increased with the addition of Suzanne and Ann.
